If you are contemplating hiring a Council backed, US based Lime bikes, instead of supporting a Gold Coast based local family business, note their unlock charge of $1, and the 54 cents A MINUTE charge. Every ONE hour ride would then cost each hirer (who must be over 18) $33.40 ( time to go to our Rates page!). The law in Queensland is that EVERY hire bike rider MUST wear a helmet which Beach Bikes strictly follows, and a fine of $161
applies for riders caught riding without a helmet. Our premium brand Trek and Lekker bikes are presented upright and thoroughly cleaned, our top of the range helmets, and grips are fully sanitised after EVERY hire, and then provided to all new hirers, fresh, clean and dry.
As in all Australian states, and particularly on the Gold Coast, helmet laws are strongly enforced.
We have an extensive and excellent range of TREK and LEKKER bikes at great hire rates. Family groups a specialty!
